A Jubilee

Renée Gundelach just celebrated her 25th anniversary as an all-around film consultant. It all startet in Berlin back in 1968: aged 25, and the mother of twins, she established her own production company. Later she became a managing partner of Wim Wender's Road Movies, working on his DER AMERIKANISCHE FREUND (THE AMERICAN FRIEND) (1977) and other early Wenders films. Her thorough knowledge of the German film subsidy system, as well as her competence in legal and economical aspects of film production, made her irreplaceable for the German film industry. An elected member of various key film boards, she is also president of the European Film Producers Association.
As consultant, producer, and (in most projects) executive producer, Renée Gundelach has contributed to the making of over 100 feature films. Despite her multifarious duties, wide interests, and the hustle-and-bustle caused by her temperament, she has found time to teach film production to students at the Berlin Film and Television Academy (DFFB) and the Babelsberg Film and Television School (HFF) in Potsdam.
Each year, Renée Gundelach attends the Cannes film festival, staying at the Villa Tobosa.
Congratulation and welcome in Cannes, Renée
